The Corporation for Supportive Housing has brought in a new president with an old familiar name: CARLA JAVITS. Javits founded the California branch of this $42 million nonprofit housing organization, and expanded that office into the national corporation’s biggest branch. (CSH supports, develops and advocates for housing for people who need special services, like AIDS sufferers or the mentally ill.) But she’s no carpetbagger–she’s also the youngest daughter of former New York Senator JACOB JAVITS. CSH was most recently headed by JACK KRAUSKOPF, who has now returned to the Aspen Institute to work on developing recommendations to improve the city’s human services….LINDA STONE DAVIDOFF, formerly of the League of Conservation Voters and onetime RUTH MESSINGER campaign manager, has taken over the helm at the centrist good-government group Citizens Union…Meanwhile, up the river: ROBERTO RAMIREZ’ old job as head of the state Assembly Social Services Committee will now be held by Manhattan progressive DEBORAH GLICK, Harlem’s KEITH WRIGHT has been bumped up to assistant majority whip, and Brooklyn’s ROGER GREEN now chairs the Black, Puerto Rican and Hispanic Legislative Caucus.
