Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:
- Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m.: The City Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet about several land use applications, including rezoning proposals for 446-448 Park Avenue and Gowanus Green in Brooklyn, 58-02 Northern Blvd and the Reform Temple of Forest Hills in Queens. More here.
- Monday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m.: The Department of City Planning will hold a public scoping meeting around plans to facilitate new housing and job growth near MetroNorth stations planned for The Bronx, in the neighborhoods of Morris Park and Parkchester. More info here.
- Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 9:30 a.m.: The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission will host a public hearing on a number of properties. More info here.
- Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m.: City Councilmember Gale Brewer’s office will host its monthly virtual housing clinic on Zoom, on the topic of property succession rights. More here.
NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon:
The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week:
- 1921 Atlantic Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $16,218 – $132,400
- 885 Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn, for households earning between $61,715 – $187,330
- 195 Herzl Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $69,429 – $156,130
- 269 Wallabout Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $29,760 – $202,515
- 150 Bayard Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $47,520 – $187,330
