George Albro of NY Labor for Sanders appears on BkLive on Wednesday, September 16.

Brooklyn is about the bluest county in one of the bluest states in the country, and it’s the site of the campaign headquarters for the odds-on presidential favorite, who happens to be the state’s former junior U.S. senator. So does that mean the borough is spoken for when it comes to the 2016 presidential race? What do local efforts on behalf of other candidates, like Senator (and Brooklyn native) Bernie Sanders look like? BkLive hosted a chat about the topic on Wednesday with George Albro of NY Labor for Bernie Sanders, Haroon Moghul who supports the Draft Biden movement and Stephen Witt, who covers the local side of all manner of politics at Kings County Politics.

By the way, we invited the Clinton and O’Malley campaigns to send representatives. While that didn’t occur, there’ll be other chances to get other voices (including Brooklyn’s Republicans) involved in the discussion on BkLive. After all, we are more than 13 months from Election Day.
