- Monday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Civil Service and Labor will meet regarding a bill to establish community hiring and wage standards for city assisted housing development projects. More here.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 9:30 a.m.: The city’s Landmarks and Preservation Commission will hold a public hearing on several applications. More here.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Governmental Operations, State & Federal Legislation will hold an oversight hearing on the Department of Citywide Administrative Services’ leasing practices. More here.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.: The city will host an online webinar about how to the Department of Buildings online resources for building permits, inspections, summonses and more. More here.
- Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.: The New Economy Project and several other housing organizations will host a town hall for Bronx and Manhattan residents about the proposed Community Land Act at the Julia de Burgos Performance and Arts Center, 1680 Lexington Ave. More here.
- Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.: The NYC Council’s committees on Aging and Cultural Affairs, Libraries and International Intergroup Relations will hold an oversight hearing on how to activate public spaces and support small businesses. More here.

- Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet about following land use applications for the Port Authority Bus Terminal Replacement and for 5275 65th Place (La Catrina) in Queens. More here.
- Thursday, Oct. 31 at 1 p.m.: The NYC Council’s Committee on Public Housing will hold an oversight hearing on NYCHA’s federal monitorship. More here.
- Thursday, Oct. 31, 12 to 4 p.m.: The New York City Commission on Human Rights and Brooklyn Center for the Independence of the Disabled will be tabling and talking about tenant protections and fair housing rights of disabled New Yorkers, including how to fight discrimination, get accommodations, and apply for rent freezes. They will be at the Crown Heights Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, 560 New York Ave., Brooklyn.
- Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m.: The Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization and the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at the City College of New York will host an open forum on decarbonization to address the climate and housing crises. Register by Oct. 29. More here.
