With the NYC Pride Parade going virtual only again this year, this weekend’s highlight was the Queer Liberation March. It was the Reclaim Pride Coalition’s response to pride parades that partner with corporate sponsors, have strong police presences and highlight politicians.

As much as the Queer Liberation March showcased LGBTQ+ pride, it also acted as a march against all forms of oppression. Some people protested police brutality and rallied behind “Black Lives Matter” signs. Others advocated for the decriminalization of sex work. Many showed their support for Palestine.
