Staten Island’s Democratic challenger Max Rose took out incumbent GOP Rep. Dan Donovan by over 10,000 votes Tuesday in New York’s 11th Congressional District.
Democrats will face high expectations to deliver, deprived of the excuse of Republican obstruction. The state GOP, meanwhile, faces a period of self-examination after an historic defeat.
The Brooklyn Republican trailed his challenger by roughly 650 votes out of 59,000 cast.
