New York’s Best in Drag returns on Monday, June 11, featuring New York City’s most creative and talented performers competing for audience votes in this pageant-style drag extravaganza. Guests will enjoy awe-inspiring performances, special appearances, and much more.
The evening will be hosted by former winner Delighted Tobehere (recently seen on America’s Got Talent) and will feature drag performers: Carlos the Über Driver, Didi Cumswell Champagne Bubbles, Lady Quesa’Dilla, Mariette Moure, Mini Horrorwitz, Ruby Fox, and Sasha Pierce Davenport. There will also be special performances by the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and 2016’s winner, Lady SinAGaga.
New York’s Best in Drag benefits the programs and services provided to LGBTQ New Yorkers by the Alliance, including HIV testing, connection to prevention tools like PrEP and PEP, and medical care. The event also supports the services GMHC provides to more than 13,000 men, women, and families each year as the organization works toward ending the AIDS epidemic and uplifting the lives of all affected.

WHEN: Monday, June 11, 7 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM)
WHERE: NYU Skirball Center, 566 LaGuardia Place (between W 3rd and 4th streets)
“New York’s Best in Drag is a party with a purpose – it raises awareness while raising funds to support our work to end the AIDS epidemic,” says Alliance Executive Director and CEO Sharen Duke. “If this year’s event is anything like our previous ones, the night promises to be filled with fierce competition as these queens sashay down the runway! So hold onto your wigs!”
“The drag community has always been there for GMHC, and events like New York’s Best in Drag are so important because they bring visibility to the work we do to end the AIDS epidemic—and the work that still needs to be done,” says GMHC CEO Kelsey Louie. “As an added bonus, this event is going to be fun and fabulous.”
New York’s Best in Drag is generously sponsored by Just Toby!, RAMY Beauty Therapy, and RuPaul’s DragCon.
