The city's proposed rezoning would change the allowable building heights on several East Harlem avenues and promote residential development in some areas that are currently zoned for industrial use.

Community Voices Heard sponsors a forum for the candidates seeking to succeed Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito as the member representing El Barrio/East Harlem, Mott Haven, Highbridge, Concourse, Longwood and Port Morris in the Council. The Wednesday, July 26 forum will take place at DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), 1991 Second Avenue, Manhattan, and City Limits will broadcast it below.
