Marlene Nava Ramos is an organizer with No New Jails NYC, a multi-racial, multi-gender, intergenerational campaign aimed to shut down Rikers without building new jails. Ramos is also a member of the NYC Chapter of Critical Resistance, and a doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center.
