Adolfo Carrion, the White House Director of the newly-created Office of Urban Affairs and a native son of the Bronx, will make his return to New York Friday to give a keynote presentation for the Regional Planning Association’s 2010 Regional Assembly, entitled “Innovation and the American Metropolis.”
The speech is scheduled to start at 12:30 pm. Carrion is expected to highlight federal initiatives designed to improve the planning and development of urban communities throughout the country.

Other speakers at the conference include Regional Planning Association Board chair Elliot G. Sander and member J. Andrew Murphy, as well as New York State Lieutenant Governor Richard Ravitch, who will be receiving an RPA Lifetime Achievement Award.
