I just need to get this out because clearly no one knows how hard it’s been on not just the dv shelters but the substance abuse and mental health shelters we were thrown out like animals only given a couple days notice that we were getting thrown out and sent to the worst of shelters for the migrants we had at least a refrigerator and microwave in our rooms and had staff equipped to deal with our mental health problem and finding us places to live now we are stripped of everything we don’t even get help with housing either anymore how can you take care of another country before your own I’ve been in the shelter for 3 years now before they kicked us out I was told I got accepted for my section 8 voucher and because of the migrants situation I was kicked to this horrible place and told I’m starting over my ex found me and I was even denied a dv shelter because there for the migrants every answer I get no matter where is I have to wait because the migrants come before us how is that right how is that fair how can that happen is that even legal instead of even trying to clear some of the shelters before they allowed the migrants in but no they just kicked us below and under a rug that’s what us single women are going through but I don’t think it matters or is a big enough story we are suffering
