    I don’t know how this article talks about homelessness and the housing crisis without taking about the literally free, and essential part of the solution: zoning reform. Housing is expensive because it can’t be built. If we fixed that, every penny is assistance and subsidies would go a lot further to actually helping people

    How you idiots could have voted for this unqualified man to be your mayor is beyond me. Violent crime is rampant in every corner of the city. Close friends of ours sold the apartment they lived in for 40 years and moved to a beautiful expat community in Mexico to get away from the crime and homelessness. If moving to Mexico is a better option then staying in NYC, you know you have problems. The outward flow of people who can get out continues as moving companies report record high outward moves from the city to the sunbelt states. I love the NYC it used to be, but we would never go up there for a visit now, I feel safer visiting our friends in Mexico.
