    Why is the title of this “article” suggesting people are “forgoing” and then present facts that show less people now qualify for it? Unbelievable. This presents a Serious integrity issue with the Editor or this publication in General. Seriously pathetic.

      Hi Sam, I see your point! But it was worded that way because New York only started implementing the new federal work rules in March, and so the first local SNAP beneficiaries won’t start getting kicked off the program for not complying until June (they lose access after 3 months of non-compliance). Sources told us what we’re seeing now is a chilling effect from those changes, and they expect to see more even steeper enrollment drops in the coming months.
