    Thanks for this responsible and accurate picture of what this complex housing problem entails. I am, in fact, a Case Manager at a Community Based Organization(CBO) you described in your article, and encounter many of the frustrations that tenants, clients and workers alike face on a daily basis as a result of negligence, poor oversight and lack of appropriate funding. It is apparent you did a lot of research and the article will hopefully bring more attention to a problematic issue.

    I agree with Mr. Kinney’s comments and applaud the critically important work that he does. This is truly a extremely complex issue that the wide majority of us do not even marginally understand but that must be recognized in order to improve the quality of life for thousands of New Yorkers.

    Why not use more of the “ hotel model” wouldn’t it be easier to manage, etc?
