Weather the homeless situation is a choice or not, it should absolutely not be left up to the MTA to find solution for this problem at the detriment of the regular MTA riders.
The city must find a way to deal with this crisis once and for all, instead of leaving it to the MTA, who are dealing with problems of their own. No other major city has a problem of this magnitude with their Subway system and the homeless as we do in New York City.
It is imperative that the city find a humane solution to this problem, so that the Subway System can be used for what it is meant for.

You’re spot on in your thoughtful analysis of the past, continuing and, sadly ongoing situation of homelessness. I was wrongfully evicted a total of three separate times in what I’ve come to believe was and is a direct and targeted assault on me personally by a rich and righteously emboldened few who have the sufficient never-ending power, money, access and resources to do whatever they want to do to whomever is their present or current desired target. I’ve been suffering a long time with no tangible end in sight. You see it behooves and benefits them directly and exponentially and economically to have me on the streets or riding the trains. Even when I’m housed if directly connected in some way a limited few will still gain privilege and benefits but this is America so like Jesus I’m in service to man without much reward or direct compensation or connection

We’ve reached a tipping point a point of no perhaps possible return if this continues in this way and with the likes of Joey Biden and Kamala Harris in power I fear for my future (OUR COLLECTIVE FUTURE—–DAYS AND NIGHTS AND IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR AND THE MAKING——INDIVIDUALLLY OF OUR OWN PRIVATE HELL)

Yes, the article tells the reality, suffering and danger that all and specially senior homeless who face every night sleeping on the streets, subways, underpath, bridges, highway sides, harvest fields/country areas of NY, etc….many senior ladies homeless are being killed every day and night by the many groups of women and men criminals which law enforcement and NY politicians know probably very well but everybody look the other way and try to make it look like nothing is happening. Us, at the NJ border Hudson River side, we hear in the quite of the night the desperation screams & shootings, every single night, it’s the killing of homeless senior women and perhaps by delinquents and this is been happening for many decades….it’s so sad….we hear motorcycles & cars riding at high speeds the NYC highways around the border of the City….it looks like they’re chasing perhaps homeless seniors and young too…we hear the train & vessels horns sounds & people screaming with desperation….the homeless are being attacked & killed by criminals….it’s a real tragedy, a masacre and genocide of those vulnerable humans. Do something about Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio, stop all those groups of motorcyclists and other groups of delinquents to make the Great NYC and NY State suburbs and towns safer places to live….or the exodus of people will continue outbound NY State.

You cant be serious! “Cars and motorcycles at high speeds chasing seniors” !? What do you mean to say? If you expect to be taken serious then you need to speak correctly and truthfully. I loved this article by the way .

You have no idea what you are talking about, the homelessness problem in NYC exploded after Obama’s administration sued NYS to enable more “choice” of housing for mentally ill people, in order to meet the qouta set by a federal judge, NYC almost force mentally ill people out of adults homes into the community in what they call “a right to fail”. These people do fail ending up in the streets, dead or jail.
But nobody really cares for these people as long as the state meet their quota.

Each country has its own problems for homeless people, depending on how the government handles them in order to feel prosperous

Governments the others organizations paid to solve the homeless problem, but me and the thousands have been living in the streets for years, we can’t find a law or anything.  Why go to Shelter living with criminals or people with contagious diseases?
This my story to became homeless in New york >>
