    The rent must be paid.

Otherwise, the system will collapse completely.

Somehow the 2-year rent moratorium gave tenants the idea that the rent would NOT be paid ever that there would be 2 years of “rent forgiveness.”

Problems with NYCHA and Section 8 include NO sense of community or pride no one “loves” their NYCHA Section 8 home.

Every NYCHA tenant should have a lease a rent they can afford to pay each month a lease with rent protections that include automatic lease renewal to raise a family in over generations succession rights, etc.

Every NYCHA tenant should have a clean, safe home freshly painted, new kitchens, bathrooms, a terrace, etc free from rodents, etc, a home the tenant can be proud of a home to decorate nice furniture, rugs, a Christmas tree, etc.

NOTHING good will come out of NYCHA Section 8 unless the rent is paid.
