- Thursday, May 18 at 7 p.m.: BRIC TV and THE CITY will host a panel discussion,”Luck & Lotto: The Scarcity of Low Income and Affordable Housing in NYC.” More here.
- Friday, May 19 at 12:30 p.m.: The City Council’s Public Housing committee will hold an executive budget hearing. More here.
- Saturday, May 20, 11 a.m.: Housing advocates and activists will a “Rent is Too Damn High” rally in Brooklyn’s Cadman Plaza, calling on city and state leaders to pass tenant protections and for the city’s Rent Guidelines Board to roll back rents for stabilized tenants. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
- Woodside Central, Queens, for households earning between $55,886 – $115,280
- 1169 River Avenue Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $31,852 – $132,400
- 641 East 28th Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $56,400 – $156,130
- 3436 Kingsbridge Avenue Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $73,715 – $187,330
- 130 Hope Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $100,252 – $215,150
- 422 East 31 Street, Brooklyn, for households earning between $68,572 – $187,330
