We must get the homeless off the streets and into housing instead of shelter. Shelter are only a banded to our problem in the city of New York. You have people in shelter that have to leave the shelters and come back in the evening. A we looking at how many people from the shelters who are out in the streets and can’t come back to the shelter until the powers to be say so. We must get the children off the streets and have some where to go. Where they can engage in productive activities instead of the streets. Year ago we had that in our communities.

You clearly have never work or have any idea of what goes on in a family with children facility. They do NOT put them out in the streets during the day.

Yes, I agree with you, I have never heard of them being put outside during the day.

It’s crucial to transition the homeless from streets to proper housing, not just shelters, which often offer temporary relief. In New York City, some in shelters must leave during the day, leaving them stranded until permitted back. Prioritizing children’s welfare is vital, providing safe spaces for productive activities, reviving a sense of community support we once had.

It’s disheartening to see a $615M cut in the homeless services budget amid the subway crackdown. Adequate funding and support are crucial for addressing homelessness effectively.

This is another example of ‘liberals’ once again shooting themselves in the foot. Who in their right mind would vote for a man who worked protecting the police department? Did you believe his promises? Did you vote for him just to prove to your self that you are ‘open minded’ and can support the police? This is your doing. Suck it up now. We will all pay for your stupidity. You only have yourselves to blame here. Don’t blame him, he just gave you lies even a child would recognize as such, and you believed him.

Personally, I don’t see how our society can be improved when democrats vote with their derriere. Just kidding.

You are correct. However, real liberals knew better than to vote for a man who supports and protects the pigs.

Are they planning to build permanent housing for the homeless in well off to do neighborhoods, of course not, only in poor rough neighborhoods, change the lens where you put the homelessness out of shelters into descent neighborhoods, we are all humans, some of us might need a little boost
