Alvin Smith made $46,814 in 2021 (See Through NY). I recommend you start speaking in very real terms about what a living wage is in NYC, and hold government accountable to paying better wages to their staff.

This is so heartbreaking and really is not right, imagine having to live everyday worrying about your serious health problems and all the stress that can cause a person. Then on top of that having to worry about if your going to have a safe place to stay that night? These are some of new York city’s most vulnerable and the city should definitely be doing more for them. No one deserves to worry like that constantly, it really takes a toll on the person. Add in health concerns and I don’t know how they do it… I commend them. They deserve better, and I really hope something will change very SOON that can provide them with the help they so desperately need right now. God bless them and I pray things get better for them.

Thanks for sharing the individual stories about good people who experience homelessness and for breaking down the poor stereotypical images that most people have about thousands of people who through no fault of their own are experiencing these challenges.
