Upcoming housing and land use-related events:
- Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 9 a.m.: The Landmarks Preservation Commission will meet regarding the proposed demolition of West-Park Presbyterian Church at 165 West 86th St., among other land use applications. More here.
- Tuesday, Aug. 4, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The Department of Housing Preservation and Development will park its resource van at 313 Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick, Brooklyn, offering help with affordable housing applications, filing a housing complaint and other resources for tenant and owners. More here.
- Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m.: The city will hold a hearing about amendments to Department of Housing Preservation and Development rules for developers seeking 421a tax abatements. More here.
- Wednesday, Aug. 5, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: The Department of Housing Preservation and Development will park its resource van at 1171 Jerome Ave. in the Bronx, offering help with affordable housing applications, filing a housing complaint and other resources for tenant and owners. More here.
- Saturday, Aug. 8, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.: State Senator Leroy Comrie will host a free event to connect tenants and small property owners (10 units or fewer) with city agencies, legal resources, and community partners, at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 202-03 Hollis Ave., Jamaica, Queens. More here.
NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
- 2764 Wallace Avenue Apartments, Bronx, for households earning between $81,086 – $146,560 (last day to apply is 8/3)
- Jamaica Central, Queens, for households earning between $57,875 – $147,280 (last day to apply is 8/3)
- 283 Flatbush Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $75,669 – $146,560 (last day to apply is 8/3)
- 3547 Webster Tower, Bronx, for households earning between $92,880 – $238,160 (last day to apply is 8/5)
- Joe BK Cluster, Bronx, for households earning between $65,418 – $142,500 (last day to apply is 8/5)
- 1760 3rd Avenue Residence, Manhattan, for households earning between $45,532 – $91,620 (last day to apply is 8/10)
