Voices of New York

Amplifying the city’s ethnic and community press.
Reporting that reflects New York’s diversity.

Voices of New York amplifies the city’s ethnic and community press. Launched shortly after 9/11, it aims to break down the barriers of language and geography that separate New York’s communities, celebrate quality journalism in every neighborhood, and harness the combined power of grassroots journalists across the city.

This service was operated from 2011 to 2019 by the Center for Community and Ethnic Media at CUNY’s Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism.
