Opinion: Supportive Housing is NYC’s Best Tool for Addressing Homelessness

    Supportive housing is great. But the truth is that 80% of homeless people in NYC don’t need supportive housing. They just need safe, clean, affordable housing. If we create abundant housing in this city there would be options for the majority of homeless people. That would allow the government to focus on providing better services to the 20% of homeless people with health issues that need supportive housing.
