Good thing that Vornado has not yet demolished this important, valuable building that could be used for the homeless, affordable housing in exchange for its vast complex of 10 supertall empty “Class A” office buildings, aka the plan for the Vornado Penn District. The now demolished Hotel Pennsylvania could have provided 2000 such rooms/homes before Vornado gutted it.

Why not reach out to the hot sheets motels and turn them into housing for our new arrivals. Many of them are near transportation. City could enter into contract with local qualified not for profit to provide on site services. Much better than tent cities no matter how noble the intention.

I am a small business owner in Lewis County upstate NY at 4135 boshart road lowville NY 13367. I have 4 trailers for rent to asylum seekers that could relocate to our community and get the same services and more options for gainful employment I would like to discuss the possibility of having some of these people assisted in coming to our community

I’m currently in a NYC shelter and have no assistance to get out because of untrained staff, shortages and a basic lack of caring by the people that are supposed to inspire hope. Frankly, I fear for what becomes of these people AFTER the elections when political posturing is over??? I’ve been here since April. I’m a former home owner single mom that’s always worked yet every good thing that’s occurred while here is all self- motivated and they’d STILL prefer to see me fail?! I’m surrounded by substance abuse but can’t get transferred without risk of being somewhere worse.

What happens after the elections? If the city didn’t have enough housing BEFORE to absorb the citizens it has already where are these folks going to🤔

I represent a 120 thousand square foot building that can be used as an intake shelter in the bronx. It has all of the required mechanicals completed and needs very simple.buildouts depending on the needs of the population to be housed.

I think the city and its mayor lack grey matter!
