Upcoming housing and land use-related events:
- Tuesday, June 30 at 2 p.m.: Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation’s board, which oversees the city’s plan to redevelop the Brooklyn Marine Terminal site in Red Hook, will meet. More here.
- Tuesday, June 30, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: The city’s Department of Consumer and Worker Protections will present, “Financial Empowerment to Access Housing” to teach participants about credit, debt, savings, and housing. The event will take place at 990 Pelham Parkway South in The Bronx. More here.
- Wednesday, July 1 at 10 a.m.: The City Planning Commission will vote on the following projects: 200 Kent Avenue Rezoning, a proposal for the Flatiron/NoMad Partnership to expand its concession area along Broadway, St. Augustine’s Preservation and Redevelopment, Queens CD 2 Walk to Park Site Selection/Acq., 47-03 108th Street Rezoning, Staten Island Family Court Consolidation, 336 Meredith Avenue Fleet Maintenance Facility, Tompkins Circle (Block 569, Lot 360 to 363), 225 Howard Avenue, New Goodhue Center – 314 Lafayette Avenue, and St. Peter’s Boys High School – Athletic Field. The Commission will hold public hearings for the following proposals: FDNY Cont’d Use of WTC Unit 1688 Victory Blvd, Sojourner Truth – Mapes Rezoning, 132 Melrose Street Rezoning, Fort Hamilton Mews Rezoning, and Park Avenue Brooklyn Rezoning. - Wednesday, July 1 at 11 a.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet regarding the following land use applications: 2950 West 24th St Rezoning, 63-02 Fresh Pond Road Rezoning, 1160 Pugsley Avenue Rezoning, and 1166 Bedford Avenue Rezoning. More here.
NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
- Botanic Heights, Brooklyn, for households earning between $106,766 – $238,160 (last day to apply is 7/2)
- Willow Tree Residences, Manhattan, for households earning between $42,275 – $81,420 (last day to apply is 7/3)
