Opinion: NYC’s Animal Rescue Community is Exhausted

    There is a clear call to action for city leaders to engage more directly in solving the crisis. The example of rescuing 34 cats from a hoarding case illustrates the severity of the problem and the need for a coordinated response.

    As simple as it seems, if you adopt you have to spay/neuter. Making it part of the adoption process and fee. You look, you find the one, pay the fee and come pick it up in 2 days.

    When you buy a car you don’t walk out with it the same day. Same with cat/dog adoptions. This way when they leave the shelter they’re sterile.
