Finally some comprehensive assistance that would benefit both landlords and tenants, and the greater economy! We need the federal govt to act on behalf of everyone during this desperate time. Protect tentants and protect business!

I could not agree more. Moreover, I am in favor of making such assistance permanent for the low income tenants. We simply need to expand the section 8 vouchers program.
But in May even the middle class families would need rental assistance. We should declare rent and mortgage holiday in May

Finally I found a community of agreement with my thoughts exactly.
As a rent stabilized renter. this is a very trying time and I pray for around the board in full circle that everyone can benefit from the Aid that could possibly be imposed.

i Agree! The landlords need to fulfill their operation costs like mortgage, taxes and water. We need the government to include money for rent. Landlords are also families that need to keep food on their tables as well.

Property owners need relief also because huge bills like property tax, mortgage, oil, water and property insurance have to be paid. Some tenants rent are more than $1200 monthly therefore; how is that going to rebuild the economy? The stimulus should start from the bottom up and not be given to wealthy.
