I agree w/ the imperative in implementing a MGMT system of “circularity”. That # of 900,000 public school students alone, generating all that plastic waste EVERY DAY!, IS LOONY-TUNES CRAZY!!!! Especially w/ the imminent existential threat of micro plastics becoming exponentially ubiquitous in the whole Earth ecosystem. These micro plastics are known endocrine disrupters & pose serious UNKNOWN RISKS!, as well. Childhood cancer rates are rising with pernicious & insidious harm & ALARM!!! Obviously NYC’s trash OUTPUT IS UNSUSTAINABLE LING TERM!!! Let’s democratize a coordinated effort for solutions & mitigation, instead of continuing to ignore the problem. I agree & believe that WE CANNOT AFFORD NOT TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM!!!, the costs of doing nothing, certainly EXCEED the costs of being proactively engaged in “smart & system wide solutions, that utilize “best practices” worldwide, while using our collective brain power & AI, to think outside the box here & stop burying our heads in the sand like crack head ostriches.
