Cea Weaver is a fake activists that doesn’t realize the damage she is causing the Tenants. She is part of the system that want to replace For-Profit landlords with Not-For-Profit landlords.

Shaun Donovan and Diana Morales call that Private – Public Partnerships.
We explain some of the story here: https://www.showthebooks.org/slumlordreport

A tenant that live in a building that has been given by the city to the employer that trained Cea Weaver.

The story of our building is here: https://citylimits.org/2000/03/01/becoming-home
This was in 2000 and we are not close to be done in 2020. UHAB is the organization that brainwashed Cea Weaver housing platform.

She is not fit to sit on the Housing Commission.

‘She is part of the system that want to replace For-Profit landlords with Not-For-Profit landlords.’

Just what NYC doesn’t need, another NYCHA.

The central premise is right — Cea is a great addition to the commission — but respectfully the author doesn’t know what she’s talking about re: the history of the CPC.

The CPC was basically designed to maximize real estate values, and it was the brainchild of the industry-created RPA during LaGuardia era as a mechanism for taking urban planning decisions outside the control of democratically elected officials. Its accessibility to private developers and NGOs (like RPA), pre-empting democratic planning, is entirely the point.

Cea Weaver is an activist promoting displacing mom and pop landlords. She wants anyone who even considers owning property for investment to be punished for even considering to improve one’s financial situation.

There are tenants able to pay, but wont. Taking full advantage of the types of laws that Cea Weaver promotes. During this pandemic she wants Landlords to be homeless, to get hit where it hurts, while tenants sit comfortably paying little to no rent.

I’m a democrat, liberal, I’m a social worker and I find her overall policies, belief’s to be misguided and unrealistic.
