The polls open at 6 a.m. on Wednesday for the 2018 elections, where New Yorkers will vote for governor, attorney general, comptroller, U.S. Senator, members of Congress, state senators, members of the Assembly and judicial candidates. New York City residents will also vote on three ballot questions.
Over the long campaign, City Limits and its partners at Gotham Gazette and BRIC-TV have co-produced interviews with many of the people seeking your vote tomorrow. For voters looking to make up their minds or check their choices, here’s a quick menu of video and audio offerings featuring those candidates.

Governor
WBAI’s Max & Murphy invited incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo (Democrat/Working Families/Independence/Women’s Equality) to the show. He never came. But his four rivals did:

Howie Hawkins (Green)
Stephanie Miner (Serve America)
Larry Sharpe (Libertarian)
Attorney General
Our talk with New York City Public Advocate Letitia James (Democrat/Working Families/Independence) was back in July.
Keith Wofford (Republican/Conservative) spoke with us more recently.
Reform Party candidate Nancy Sliwa, Libertarian Chris Garvey, and Green nominee Michael Sussman all appeared briefly on the same program (below) at 23:00, 36:13 and 46:14, respectively.
Comptroller
Incumbent Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli (Democrat/Working Families/Independence/Women’s Equality/Reform)
Jonathan Trichter (Republican/Conservative)
Mark Dunlea, the Green Party candidate for comptroller, and Cruger Gallaudet, comptroller candidate for the Libertarians, appeared on the same program at 2:38 and 13:25, respectively.
Congress
While national eyes are on many races in New York State, the only race within the five boroughs believed to be competitive is the one for the 11th district covering Staten Island and a bit of southern Brooklyn.
Incumbent Rep. Daniel Donovan (Republican/Conservative/Independence/Reform)
Max Rose (Democrat/Working Families/Women’s Equality) declined to appear on Max & Murphy but did come on BRIC-TV’s 112BK program back in March.
Henry Bardel is the Green Party candidate in that race.
State Senator
There are several competitive races this year but the marquee matchup within the five boroughs is the Brooklyn contest between incumbent Sen. Marty Golden and challenger Andrew Gounardes. Both appeared on 112BK.

Larry Sharpe is by far the best candidate for Governor of New York, mostly because he wants to return control to the counties, rather than ruling from Albany as Andrew Cuomo has done for so many years. Just Google his name, watch some videos and you’ll see that nobody else compares. Obviously start with the podcast in the article, it’s great :-)
