Shelters are the best rac-ket in town. DeBlasio was giving his wife 240 million/year. to run her shelter company.
Nobody saw anything wrong with this. This outrage was a sheer conflict of interest. They use privacy as an excuse to violate the residents civil rights.

LIVING IN A SHELTER AT 94 MASTIC BLVD AND THEY HAVE CAMERAS ALL THROUGHOUT THE SHELTER, VIOLATING RESIDENTS RIGHT TO PRIVACY ESPECIALLY DUE TO THE MICROPHONE ON.

Why don’t they make laws to treated singles like humans too? My shelter feels like a concentration camp and they violate lots of laws but won’t let us record. They treat singles like animals and why do families get humane conditions when we can’t even store food? Why can’t they treat humans who didn’t have kids as humans ? We get 50 bed dorms. I get protecting kids but they weaponize this claiming there is no budget for us and shelters are living hell. Then families with kitchens and private room have the nerve to claim they need out now. Sorry but singles need out now worse considering we are in internment camps with far worse conditions. A damn hotel with private bathroom and kitchen and lock on the door sounds like luxury to people in singles shelters so why prioritize them for housing when they have some dignity left. People go in the streets because single shelters are so horrible . Nobody cares about it but only families. They leave use for dead and have no compassion.
