Con Ed, National Grid, PSEG bills at least 50% are charges, are fixed surcharges, taxes PLUS the cost of energy, 17% of our bills go to the MTA the Metropolitan Transit Authority Surcharge

We do NOT use the air conditioning we make do with a box-fan, we do NOT use the electric heat we make do with a space heater in the bedrooms 5pm to 5am the living room, kitchen etc. we have NO heat. All day long we wear sweaters, jackets in the house/apartment

Our PSEG bill has come down $$$ using the fan and space heater.
