    Dear Gail,

I really appreciate this piece as it highlights the corrupt practices that were brought upon by the DOE to attack and dismantle Dewey, but I kindly ask–if you please could–to add a brief excerpt/note at the introduction of this piece that states that this piece was written just before the DOE lost the lawsuit filed by Dewey teachers and the UFT to close Dewey, hence Dewey remains open. While this article is extremely informative to people who need to know the story behind Dewey’s past demise, it is misleading to prospective students and applicants to the school. Since this article was written, Dewey has flourished tremendously. It would be a pity to sway people away from Dewey’s revival because of a lack of chronological context. Thank you so much.

i hate this school. and was one of the hitters in that school. this school helped no one with all the free time they gave you. after having 8 free time in a row i went to the beach insted. hate this school hope to see it close. it killed my hope. so the 1970s were the best fight every day… and thats what we did i was known as hooker back in the day. just a hang out school. and wish life will now slow down. i should have never gone there. buy
