Too many tenants are taking advantage of the “no eviction” because they think they will NOT see the inside of Housing Court?

We read that some tenants have saved the down payment for a new home as the eviction ban goes on, and on?

Landlords NEED the rent contracted in the lease this is NOT “greedy landlord” more often a working guy with a 2 family house, or an investment.

Needy tenants vulnerable tenants need and get rent protections but to extend the ban on eviction is doing the tenant NO good.

In Housing Court your landlord has a lawyer who is well-connected the lawyer gets the Eviction Motion in front of “his/her friend the Judge” and the tenant is evicted.

This happens every day in Housing Court.

In Hosing Court many losers leave with an Order of Eviction in place need to make plans before the Sheriff arrives to evict the tenant – at least 30 days the eviction process does “take some time” so tenants may find a place to be move in with family, a shelter, etc.

Eviction is a devastating experience kids are yanked out of school, etc.

Tenants who have hope of saving their apartments a possibility of paying arrears and current rent must do that NOW and tenants who have NO possibility of paying arrears and rent each month must leave NOW so that landlords can pay taxes, utilities, insurance, etc.

The Ban on Eviction is doing the tenant and the landlord NO good.
