This has been my problem in Dyker Heights. The polling site in Fort Hamilton HS is walkable but it is out of the way and not worth walking there to stand in a long line.

For weeks we campaigned to have Yankee Stadium serve as a borough-wide voting venue.
The Yankees refused to make the city-owned facility available, except for poll-worker trainings.
So, unlike Manhattan & Brooklyn, Bronxites will go without a central/accessible site for the whole borough.
Another subtle way to tamp down the vote.

The yankees are not good neighbors the area around the stadium is a blight and we got a metronorthstation that people could have used to transport to midtown but its is only open during games . Might be time to renegotiate
