What report are you reading? Community Preservation Corporation’s public Form 990 filings disclose that he makes $450k per year. Cestero served as Commissioner of the HPD, the largest municipal affordable housing development and housing code enforcement agency in the country, and chairman of the board for the HDC, the nation’s largest municipal Housing Finance Agency. Before that he was a Managing Director at L+M Development Partners, SVP and Chief Program Officer at Enterprise Community Partners, and Director of New York Programs at the Enterprise Foundation. What is your problem with a person being well paid as the leader of a large and important organization after a long career of distinguished work?

More importantly, what is your quibble with the merits of his argument? No one is saying the homeless don’t deserve assistance — he is simply arguing that this is a bad mechanism for providing that assistance and will be counter-productive.
