I have been against REZONING from the very beginning.
I have always said. It’s all about MONEY. And, I will continue to say this.
Politicians say one thing, and in the end do whatever is best for them, and not the people they represent.
Many people will be displaced by REZONING. They know this, however, in the end they do what is best for themselves.

So go get some money and stop complaining. I don’t see how creating more units is bad nor would it create displacement. Dilution of poverty with middle class citizens prevents a segregated social economic society. Many studies have shown that spreading housing communities across multiple buildings is far better than having them all located in one spot. Only ones complaining are drug dealers since it is harder to have all your drug users in one place

If MMV has not already figured out that the neighborhood she represents (El Barrio) never requested, nor supports this travesty of zoning injustice, then she is living and leaving with a different and seperate reality away from her constiuents whom she claims are her friends y neighbors. El Barrio Unite condemns any action to push this $41 Billion swindle of city public monies that is ironically neither “Manditory”, nor “Affordable” to the vast majority of residents that will be ultimately displaced by this scam.

How do you think the city will raise money for repairs of underpriced housing units that are in desperate need of repairs? Good luck finding developers willing to spend millions building a building to rent it less than the cost of building it. People need to realize things in life isn’t free. Rather than complain, get a better job or work harder and stay in school.

Sir- Its not about “Me”, nor about “you” Malik. Its about the existing community of low income earning households that evidently you don’t particularly care for who will certainly be displaced. You fail to comprehend the essence of the opposition in East Harlem to this racist and oppressive housing proposal. Kindly open your mind and your heart to this issue important to so many others.

You live in a capitalist country, but here everyone seems to want a socialist approach.

Capitalism is greed and money, with other words the USA does not care about the people.
