    This is great because it will mean that there will be fewer large upzonings. I think 8.3 million people are enough for NYC. Our 100+ year old infrastructure can’t handle big increases in population.

    What about putting a stop to those projects that have already been approved, but haven’t started construction?

    Perhaps there should be a fifty-year moratorium on all luxury development in New York City, with permissions being granted only to low- and middle-income housing projects. I do not want to see New York City become the exclusive playground of wealthy people.
