    Thank you.

This is a compendium of the issues that non of our elected leaders want to face but that many of our voters keep putting in place! A special “get-out” is sent to Cuomo & Co for disrespecting the faculty and students at CUNY. He has not pushed for a Maintenance of Effort (MOE) which resulted in many of these problems you cite in the article. Faculty go without basic essentials, physically run from vermin in classrooms and offices and feel like they are working in an outpost of society. Oh! Voila! Exactly as Cuomo and & Co want us to feel/think about our jobs, those jobs that elevate most working class and poor to middle class incomes. Cuomo’s musteredminds have suggested that the people of NYC must pay for all of CUNY and all of SUNY but only upstaters have to pay for SUNY, a perfection of “splitting” the voters. Hey, these are ALL our kids.

Until the students take to the streets, yup, that is what it might take, their education is at risk. You can’t say, “give me a great brand” and not pay for the great brand. And, unlike the dorm students at SUNY, CUNY students often pay taxes….for an institution that is not supported by their taxes.

You can’t make this stuff up.
