Prioritizing Prevention Services and Preserving families has been long awaited. Families are complicated and want to live their best lives with resources and supports without judgment and penalties. Commissioner Hansell is moving in the right direction and contracted preventive agencies must follow. It’s imperative that positive and negative outcomes are measured and improved upon as evidence based programs are being developed. Promising practices can contribute to the success of evidence base programming. Families need flexibility and options to grow and become more resilient to develop their own protective factors for a healthy family. Looking forward to the continued commitment to families and communities.
