Albany Debate Hemmed Hopes for a Green-Work Revolution

And the workers get screwed again:

“Bambrick does point to successes that came out of GJGNY; it proved that on-bill recovery was a viable approach for future legislation, and there were new and diverse voices and coalitions contributing to the debates about New York’s energy policies.”

As a founder of the Working Families Party, I’ve seen it time and time and time again with progressives. They want to achieve their progressive goals and in the negotiation process, the first thing, invariably, that gets thrown to the wolves, is labor standards.

This is why organized labor can never truly trust the progressive movement. To them, we are nothing more than a vehicle to move their agenda.
