    Great article! We totally agree. And here are some other things that government can do:
    —Ban age-identifying information in applications, e.g., asking for high school graduation dates
    —Strengthen state laws to counter the U.S. Supreme Court’s weakening of federal age-discrimination laws

    One of the things we do (at least pre-pandemic) at Changing the Narrative in Colorado is presentations to business and civic leaders, and HR groups, on the business case for hiring older workers and having intergenerational workplaces.

      Thanks for bringing your organization to our attention. Changing the Narrative is doing valuable advocacy work on behalf of older workers, and its website contains helpful links and information, even for those who do not live in Colorado. Discriminatory attitudes will only be changed through the continuing efforts of many individuals and organizations.

    Thank you for this! Very informative and so crucial at this time. Most people do not realize that ageism is directly correlated with even more age related trauma and abuse.
