Welcome to City Limits’ NYC Housing Calendar, a weekly feature where we round up the latest housing and land use-related events and hearings, as well as upcoming affordable housing lotteries that are ending soon.

Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:

  • Wednesday, 2/21 at 10 a.m.: The City Planning Commission will vote on a proposal for two new 17- and 19-story mixed-use buildings with 305 apartments; the meeting will include public hearings for a number of other land use applications. More here.
  • Wednesday, 2/21 at 10 a.m.: The offices of City Councilmember Nantasha Williams, State Sen. Leroy Comrie and Assemblymember Clyde Vanel will host a workshop about property tax benefits for homeowners in Queens. More here.
  • Wednesday, 2/21 at 6 p.m.: UHAB will host an online training for members of HDFC coops on budgeting and expenses. More here.
  • Saturday, 2/24 at 12 p.m.: Housing Conservation Coordinators and the Westside Neighborhood Alliance will host a rally to defend New York’s rent stabilization laws. More here.
  • Monday, 2/26 at 2 p.m.: The NYC Council’s Subcommittee on Zoning and Franchises will meet. More here.
  • Monday, 2/26 at 6 p.m.: State Sen. Roxanne Persaud’s office will host a webinar for homeowners about their notice of property value (NOPV) as well as Department of Finance benefit programs. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.
