Upcoming Housing and Land Use-Related Events:

• Thursday, March 16 at 9:30 a.m.: NYC Council’s general welfare committee will meet to vote on three pieces of legislation related to the city’s homeless shelters. More here.
• Thursday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m.: NYC Council’s committee on housing and buildings will meet to vote on two bills related to the city’s buildings and construction code. More here. 
• Thursday, March 16 at 6 p.m.: NYC’s Department of Housing Preservation & Development will host a tenant resource fair. More here. 
• Monday, March 20 at 2 p.m.: WNYC and Gothamist will host “The Future of NYC Housing,” a discussion with Mayor Eric Adams followed by a panel talk. More here. 
• Tuesday, March 21 at 6 p.m.: NHS Brooklyn will host a webinar for homeowners on avoiding foreclosure and scams. More here.
• Tuesday, March 21 at 6 p.m.: NYC’s Department of Housing Preservation & Development will host a workshop on the city’s Human Rights Law and discrimination in housing. More here.

NYC Affordable Housing Lotteries Ending Soon: The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) are closing lotteries on the following subsidized buildings over the next week.

• Sunset Ridge Senior Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $0 – $60,050
• Amana Astoria, Queens, for households earning between $82,012 – $187,330
• 6020 3 Avenue Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $99,258 – $187,330
• 30-41 31st Street Apartments, Queens, for households earning between $88,800 – $187,330
• 1010 Pacific Street Apartments, Brooklyn, for households earning between $56,983 – $138,840
