    Uh, you forgot to mention the East Harlem/El Barrio Community Land Trust which is leading the land trust effort locally!

      That is on me, the editor — I made a cut that inadvertently removed mention of that effort, of which the reporter is very much aware. Thanks for getting mention of it onto this page.

    why are people “fighting” landlords. Par market based rents and there will be no need to fight. If you can’t afford that move. You have no right to live somewhere you can’t afford on the taxpayers dime.
