You live at the other people property and you decide to not pay the rent. Do you ever think how the the landlord pay the mortgage to the bank or keep their life floating. You can choose to move, but it is your responsibility to pay rent if you stay at other people’s place

I am a landlord. I do have tenant. Whenever there are any issues in the property then I fix it right away. So that, I feel I am providing right service to my tenant and then I deserve to be paid on time. It is like, you go to a restaurant and you pay for the good food and service. If food are damaged and rotten and old then no question for payment. Therefore, a restaurant owner do not serve old and damaged food cause they care for their customers.
I think, landlords should do their part and be fair to the tenant and tenant should be fair to pay rent. Very simple.

Tell the govt to pay your rent, the person you pay rent too may need it to pay their mortgages and feed themselves. Old people own two family homes and they live off of the rent money and others will lose their homes because they can’t pay the mortgage without the rents. The govt should take care of you not the guy who you pay rent too.

Home owner has to pay their water, heat, mortgage and property tax bill. And all these expense has been increased a lot in recent years. Rent payment is essential for home owner to pay all these cost. Can the city or state waive all these fee- Water gas mortgage and property tax. If that is not happening, then tenant should need to pay the rent.
