    Great article park in are neighborhoods are under heavy. Pressure from are fellow residents as a long time volunteering now a park steward we feel the park’s department budget woes But the up keep of park’s shouldn’t ours we do more and take on more cause we don’t want are parks to fail or go backwards.

    This article is excellent and points out the dangers and costs of deferred maintenance. A recent example of the consequences of deferred maintenance was the collapse of a portion of the East River Promenade at East 75th Street.
