I for one can not wait for the rezoning to get underway. I have past these shops on my way home in the evenings and don’t see where it is so diverse. We are not all included. And the fumes that come out of those building is awfully strong. With a public school in the area on 176 and Jerome I have to wonder how many of those children are suffering from Asthma as a result. Now that they are being threatened with eviction they want us to stand with them. I have seen some other places close to make room for more people. The Hotel for People who are HIV positive has closed too at 1769 Jerome avenue. People need homes. This may even benefit the women at the Homeless Shelter on Jerome.
