My wife and I have 2 kids we BC have been fostering going on a year and a half. We live in WV , kid’s was taken from drug infested home, we want to adopt but my past is now a road block. 23 year’s ago I was drunk daily stealing, fighting etc , now I have started truly living. 23 years ago people there’s 400,000 + waiting for a few people to love them.

My husband and I cannot have children together, I have severe scar tissue blockage from a bi-lateral hernia surgery when I was 3 years old. He has 2 children from a previous marriage (ages 21&22) but after his daughter was born he had a vasectomy. We truly do not have the money to pay for invitro, & realize adoption isn’t any cheaper, but would rather the funds go toward a child already born than shooting dice toward a possibly unattainable goal. He also has a felony from 2000 which has caused us great concern regarding the adoption process. We are worried about getting our hopes up, & spending the money on something that may never materialize. Reading this article gives me hope & I am grateful for that. Thank you so much!
