This particular complaint involved a guy screaming and cursing at residents camped next to one of those wi-fi kiosks on a residential/commercial block. The guy was still there later in the day which proves the cops just closed out the compliant without investigating.

Imagine operating from such a point of privilege that you would suggest that wanting to not be sexually harassed, verbally abused, robbed of packages left in our lobby, subject to an increased influx of rodents because of dangerous conditions in an encampment, subject to an increased danger of infection during a pandemic because of an individual who will not social distance or wear a mask has decided to occupy your street. Imagine a church that works with BLM and is open to people of all persuasions and denominations and a haven for the LGBT community having to beg for help because an individual who fancies himself a freegan and minimalist while he has more belongings than some people who live in the block and then being accused of some ridiculous NIMBY moniker. Imagine acting as if everyone who feels threatened by aggressive and manipulative young men Who are for the most part not people of color is necessarily wealthy and not a hard working individual with a rent controlled apartment. Outreach does not work in every case. Our neighborhood has been terrorized
By people who have refused help and some of whom need the kind of help that outreach doesn’t seem to offer. Our block has been held hostage by a verbally abusive and misogynistic brat who fancies himself a prophet. How about you take your false leftist posturing And have some respect for the working poor. I am presently homeless after trusting an outreach organization with my well-being and trusting in the promises they made me to improve my living situation and become once again a self sufficient asset to society. I went through all of the requirements and received sro housing. None of their promises were kept and the staff themselves were doing criminal things with me that I would no longer tolerate. I left. Being good with tools I was able to design a movable unintrusive home to accommodate me until I get back on my feet. I am drug free, alcohol free, and mentally intact. No help from any outreach people. More lies and promises and I am not going through the system again. Who helps those like myself? Getting moved around and harassed is not helpful at all. I only wish to get on my feet again without being a leech on taxpayers money. Is that so bad? Help!!!!
