COUNCIL: SANCTIONS UNSETTLING

Concerned that a city proposal to penalize homeless adults who do not follow shelter rules will put more people on the street, dozens of City Council members are pushing the Bloomberg administration to instead work with the Coalition for the Homeless to create a panel that would oversee shelter operations.
